SAFCOL's forestry operations are conducted through its subsidiary, Komatiland Forests (KLF), which manages 15 prime softwood saw-log plantations across three South African provinces.
Our plantations span a total of 189,414 hectares across Mpumalanga, Limpopo and KwaZulu-Natal. As South Africa's largest saw-log producer, we employ responsible silvicultural practices with 25–30 year rotation cycles to ensure long-term sustainability of the resource.
SAFCOL holds Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certification, demonstrating our commitment to environmental responsibility, social equity, and economic viability in forest management.
