Mechanised Harvesting Learnership 2026
A 10-month learnership at NQF Level 3 aimed at unemployed youth aged 18-35. Gain practical skills in mechanised timber harvesting operations.
Artisan Development Programme 2025
A 3-year apprenticeship programme based at Timbadola sawmill in Louis Trichardt (Makhado). Develop artisan skills in a working sawmill environment.
Silviculture NQF Level 3 Learnership 2026
A 10-month learnership at NQF Level 3 for unemployed youth aged 18-35. Learn silviculture practices including planting, tending, and tree management.
YES Programme (Internship) 2025
A 12-month internship for graduates holding a National Diploma or Degree in Forestry. Gain valuable workplace experience through the Youth Employment Service programme.
General Forestry Learnership 2026
A 10-month learnership at NQF Level 1 for unemployed youth aged 18-35. An entry-level programme covering general forestry operations and practices.

Training Materials
All learning materials, textbooks, and practical resources provided at no cost.
Monthly Stipend
A monthly stipend is provided to support learners throughout the programme duration.
PPE Clothing
Personal Protective Equipment and work clothing issued to all participants.
Accommodation
Accommodation provided in some cases, along with daily lunch during training days.
Platorand Training Centre
All learnership training takes place at the SAFCOL Platorand Training Centre in Sabie, Mpumalanga. The centre is equipped with modern training facilities including classrooms, practical workshops, and simulation equipment.
